Georges St. Pierre is arguably the best wrestler in the UFC...and he never wrestled in middle school, high school, or college. It is incredible that GSP is able to take down some of the greatest wrestlers in the world who were former All-American Collegiate wrestlers such as Josh Koscheck, who GSP defeated at UFC 74. St. Pierre was able to sprawl several of Koschecks takedown attempts and he was able to keep the fight standing up.
In most cases, when a fighter has no previous experience in wrestling they are almost instantly taken down by their opponent. It is different with GSP. Many of his opponents can't even take him down once during a fight and often times GSP is the one shooting for the take down. It is so amazing to watch GSP take the fight to wherever he wants it. He is the one of the most well rounded in the welterweight division who can easily submit, ground and pound, or stand up and land a high kick for a KO.
GSP is facing off against Josh Koscheck again for the second time at UFC 124 on December 11 in Montreal. The fans will definitely be rooting for Georges not only because he is Canadian..but also because everybody hates Josh Koscheck. It will definitely be an exciting fight.

Rubber Guard - A Great American Invention
(Bottom) Fighter Using Rubber Guard |
The Rubber Guard happens when the bottom opponent hold the top opponent close by wrapping one leg around the neck and then gripping their own ankle which locks the opponent and leaves them open to many types of submissions such as a triangle choke, omo-plata, or gogo-plata.
We have seen several fighters in MMA pull Rubber Guard on their opponents and many have followed it up with an impressive submission. This maneuver will definitely be occurring much more often once fighters realize how effective it is.
This new guard created by an American has the ability to change how grappling and MMA is done around the world.

The Future of Brock Lesnar
When Brock Lesnar started his MMA career he looked absolutely incredible. It seemed like he would never lose a fight in his life...until Shane Carwin came along and pummeled Brock for 5 whole minutes during the first round of UFC 116. The tide shortly shifted during the second round when Carwin ended up getting submitted my Lesnar via Arm Triangle Choke.
The win did not do much to help Lesnar's chances of continuing his run as "The Baddest man on the Planet". The fight actually hurt his reputation. Fans on internet sites were calling Brock names such as, "woman, turtle, and baby"
It seemed like "De Ja Vu" at UFC 121 when Brock Lesnar faced off against Cain Velasquez. Cain quickly ended Brock's chances by pummeling him until the referee stopped the fight. We saw the exact same situation in the Carwin Vs. Lesnar fight. Both Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez ground and pounded a defenseless Lesnar for several minutes until he was saved by the bell or the fight was stopped.
The real question is...what is next for Brock Lesnar? Will he ever fight in the UFC again or will he simply return to the World Wrestling Federation? Fans have waited for quite some time to hear from Dana White or Brock Lesnar but nothing about Brock's future has been said.
Will it be Lesnar Vs. Mir for the third time? God I hope not...I want to see Brock fight the best because if he wants to call himself "The Baddest Man on the Planet then he has to fight the toughest fighters in the world to prove himself worthy.
Alistair Overeem - The Baddest Man on the Planet?
Alistair Overeem is a 6' 5" 253 lb Dutch Kickboxer/MMA Fighter with the physique of a superhero. He also knows how to put his muscles to good use. He is the defending Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and he defeated his opponent Brett Rogers, a 6' 4" 265 brawler with relative ease. Overeem literally took Rogers and threw him like a rag doll and then proceeded to ground and pound him until the referee stopped the fight.
Fans want to see more of this Dutch phenom. It would be a huge disappointment if Alistair does not sign with the UFC in the near future because he has the potential to walk through the UFC heavyweights until he reaches Cain Velasquez. Many are speculating that if a fight does happen with Overeem and Velasquez it will go down as the greatest heavyweight MMA fight of all time. Both fighters are at the top of their game but both have very distinctive styles. Velasquez, an All-American Collegiate Wrestler and Overeem, a Muay Thai fighter with a very strong ground game as well.
Keep your eyes on Alistair Overeem because he is a one man wrecking machine that has the potential of beating anyone in the world. The problem is finding him the best people to fight.
